Career Center > Career Success Factors Initiative

Recognizing how important certain non-technical skills are to the professional advancement of statisticians, 2012 ASA President Robert N. Rodriquez began an initiative to develop a set of "soft skill" courses that will have a positive impact on the careers of statisticians, regardless of their employment sector. The initiative consists of two parts:

  1. Teaching individuals a particular skill or set of skills (the Career Success Factors courses).
  2. Teaching individuals how to train others (the Train the Trainer program); these individuals become the instructors for the courses offered in the Career Success Factors program.
