2008 Statistical Poster Competition
 
Judging Categories: K-3, 4-6, 7-9, 10-12
Deadline for submission: March 19, 2008
The Connecticut Chapter of the American Statistical Association is here to help teachers and math coordinators enrich students' understanding of statistics and data. We have been sponsoring this competition as a professional resource for teachers for more than 10 years now. We can come to your school and talk about the poster competition, careers in statistics, or other statistics related topics. Please don't hesitate to ask if you are interested.

The posters should be mailed or dropped off by March 19, 2008 to:

Posters will be judged in four grade categories: K-3, 4-6, 7-9, and 10-12. Teachers with winning posters will be notified by March 31. An awards ceremony will be held on Saturday, April 5, 2008, at Bristol-Myers Squibb in Wallingford. Certificates will be awarded to winning schools and students. First Place teams will receive $100, Second Place $75, and Third Place $50.

Selected posters will be forwarded to the 2008 American Statistical Association Poster Competition in Washington, D.C. You may also submit posters directly to the national competition. For information visit: www.amstat.org.
