Welcome to the home page for the Boston Chapter of the
American Statistical Association.
We serve statisticians from Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, and Vermont.
We have events (evening dinner lectures, workshops, and parties)
approximately once a month except in the summer. Our next event is the following:

Chapter News
- This year is the 100th anniversary of the birth of William G. Cochran,
founding member of the Harvard Statistics Department. The department plans a
symposium
in his honor on Saturday, November 21.

- A new Boston JMP Users Group has formed.
- Congratulations to the following candidates, who were elected as
chapter officers at our meeting on Wednesday, May 13. Their
terms start on January 1.

- Audrey Hendricks, Vice President
In addition, Matt Tom has stepped down as Program Chair, so the chapter's
executive committee has made the following appointments:
Maureen Mayer as Program Chair,
Jim McDougall as Council of Chapters Representative, and
Audrey Hendricks as Vice President.
- We sponsor students for membership in Mu Sigma Rho, the national
honorary society for statistics. More information is available
