A Presentation by Ellen Barnes
Ms. Ellen Barnes is a Senior Technical Specialist in Reliability and Statistics at Ford Motor Co., where she has worked on both design and manufacturing issues. Ellen discussed statistical work she has done on testing the requirement for independence, specifically with Chi-Squared probability plots. Her motivation was based on work she does with warranty data, which is often correlated. Her research has been with Survival Trees (binary recursive partitioning). She is looking to develop an analog of half-normal plots that could be used to test nodes and partitions.
