This Sunday afternoon social event was planned by the Board. Cecilia Yee kindly hosted the event at her home. Approximately 20 people attended, and the children enjoyed the pool as well as the food. The festivities would down just before the heavy rain began (reminiscent of the 2002 DCASA Picnic). Everyone brought potluck food contributions, and a good time was had by all, despite the weather. We hope to hold another such picnic next summer.
During the picnic, a short DCASA Board meeting was held. The Agenda discussion topics included: Chapter projects or events for 2003 and 2004; planning Chapter meetings and speakers for Fall 2003; confirming the speaker for the Sept. 16 Chapter meeting; reviewing who would be attending JSM 2003; and planning for the Chapter elections and potential candidates for the open 2004 Board positions (VP, Secretary, Chapter Representative).
