“AP Statistics: Not your Father’s Statistics "

Ms. Burton is the head of the Math Department at Troy High School, and has taught AP Statistics since 1999. She reviewed the history of the AP program in general, the curriculum of the AP Statistics course, the AP testing and scoring process, the potential awarding of college credit, and her experiences in teaching statistical concepts to high school students. She encouraged DCASA members to share their real life statistical career experiences via guest lecturing at local schools, allowing job shadowing, etc.
