March 12 Southeast Michigan Science Fair

On Friday evening, 3/12/04, six Chapter members served as statistics Special Awards judges in the Southeast Michigan Science Fair, held at Washtenaw Community College in Ypsilanti Township, MI. The judging was a joint effort with the Ann Arbor Chapter of ASA, and included members from both Chapters. We provided 82 Certificates of Recognition, and 11 Certificates of Merit to those students' exhibits showing the most extensive use of statistics in their research projects. Among the 11 more meritorious projects, we gave 3 Awards of Excellence. Those 3 students each received a special certificate and a book signed by all the Statistics Judges.
