- Our Spring Newsletter was sent out at the end of last week - be sure to check it out for all the latest happenings in the chapter, along with details for our Spring Workshop.
To register for the Spring Workshop, please fill out and follow the instructions in the registration form. The deadline to register is May 8th, 2013 - so don't wait too long!
- Save The Date! Our Spring Workshop will be held on Wednesday, May 15th at the Wyndham Glenview Suites in Glenview, IL, and will feature Professor Brad Carlin, Mayo Professor in Public Health and Head of the Division of Biostatistics at the University of Minnesota.
The workshop will be given on the topic of Bayesian Methods for Data Analysis. This one-day short course introduces Bayesian methods, computing, and software, and goes on to elucidate their use in Phase I and II clinical trials, as well as meta-analysis of current and historical trials. We include descriptions and live demonstrations of how the methods can be implemented in BUGS, R, and versions of the BUGS package callable from within R.
Registration information and further details will be available in the upcoming Spring Issue of our chapter newsletter, STATFAX.
- Our 2013 program is underway! The chapter has been selected to host Dr. Brad Carlin of the University of Minnesota, who will give a workshop on Bayesian Statistics as part of the ASA's Council of Chapters Travelling Course program sometime in mid-May of this year. Details will be posted as they become available. For more information about the course, though, you can visit the ASA's webpage here.
