Biennial Undergraduate Statistics Project Competition (USPROC)
The Consortium for the Advancement of Undergraduate Statistics Education (CAUSE) sponsors this competition to encourage the development of data analysis skills, enhance presentation skills, and recognize outstanding work by undergraduate statistics students.

Drexel University Noyce Scholarship Program
The objectives of the Drexel University Noyce Scholarship Program are to recruit qualified science, engineering, and mathematics students and professionals dedicated to teaching math or science in the School District of Philadelphia to provide strong preparation addressing content knowledge, pedagogical content knowledge, learner knowledge and technology integration, and to provide mentoring and induction activities.

The DV Gokhale International Grants/Loans in Statistics Program
This unique program provides grants and/or loans to Indian undergraduate and graduate students to study statistics in the United States, to American undergraduate and graduate students to study statistics and related subjects in India, and to faculty to support exchanges in this field between the United States and India.

Department of Homeland Security Scholarship and Fellowship Program
The DHS Scholarship and Fellowship Program is intended for students interested in pursuing the basic science and technology innovations that can be applied to the DHS mission. This education program is intended to ensure a highly talented science and technology community to achieve the DHS mission and objectives. Eligible students must be studying in a homeland security-related science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (HS-STEM) field with an interest in one of the homeland security research areas.

Government Statistics Section Wray Jackson Smith Scholarship
Awarded jointly with the ASA's Social Statistics Section, this scholarship supports work toward a career in government statistics. The scholarship encourages promising young statisticians to consider a future in government statistics. It provides funding of up to $1,000 for use in exploring any of a broad number of opportunities for furthering the development of a career related to government statistics.

Physical & Engineering Sciences Section ASQ Ellis R. Ott Scholarship
This scholarship is awarded by the statistics division of ASQ to encourage students to pursue a career in a field related to statistics and/or quality. Individual awards of up to $5,000 per student and academic year are given to qualified students.

Statistics and the Environment Section Student Paper Award
This is awarded to undergraduate or graduate students for work on a novel approach to the analysis of environmental data, new methodology applicable in the area of environmental statistics, or application of statistics to environmental problems. Winners present their papers in a contributed session at JSM. A small stipend is given to support student attendance.

Statistics in Defense and National Security Student Paper Competition
Awarded for best undergraduate or graduate student paper applying statistics to defense issues. The prize is a plaque and $500.

Risk Analysis Student Travel Awards
$800 is awarded annually to one graduate or undergraduate student to defray the cost of attendance at JSM. The student must be working on the development of new methodology in risk analysis or the novel application of existing risk methods.

Survey Research Methods Section Travel Award
Awarded annually to graduate or undergraduate students to defray the cost of first-time attendance at JSM. The student must demonstrate a long-term interest in survey research. In addition to the $400 travel support, students are awarded attendance at one of the section-sponsored short courses.

Health Policy Statistics Student Paper Competition
Awarded to undergraduate or graduate students for papers involving a methodological innovation relevant to health policy research or a creative application of statistical analysis to an issue in health policy. Papers are presented at JSM and winners receive a subsidy of up to $800 for actual expenses to support their attendance.

Statistical Computing Section John M. Chambers Statistical Software Award
Awarded annually for the development and implementation of computational tools for the statistical profession by a graduate or undergraduate student, this prize carries with it a cash award of $1,000, plus the opportunity to present a talk on the software at JSM.
