Learning R (302841)*Derek McCrae Norton, Revolution Analytics
Keywords: R, rapid prototyping, visualization
R is the language of computational statistics. Its functional style, philosophy of manipulating objects that implement tangible parts of statistical models, and easy-to-use visualization capabilities make it ideal for expressing statistical ideas. Every statistician should have some facility with R to rapidly prototype ideas and communicate with colleagues and clients. The poster lays out the big picture of the R community behind the language, shows how to leverage the community for ideas and support, provides tips for learning R, and provides examples that anyone can run with.
