This on-line program will be updated frequently to reflect the most current revisions.

Abstract:

Sampling? Statistical Process Control? System Improvement? How can these possibly further "human welfare" to the fullest extent when the majority of our population is called "innumerate" and we celebrate such bestsellers as "Math for Dummies," "Statistics for Idiots," and "Math 101?" Using the Thinking Processes of the Theory of Constraints for Education, this presentation demonstrates how a proper model of statistical learning can lead to massive and immediate improvement in mathematical/statistical education. Why settle for "quantitative literacy" when "analytic excellence" is achievable?
