Press Registration

As a registered member of the press at JSM 2008, you will have access to keynotes, conference sessions, roundtables, workshops, and late-breaking sessions, as well as the exhibits.

Please note that the press registration option is limited to those individuals whose primary occupation is reporting for media outlets. We particularly welcome those who cover the areas of statistics, science, and math. Credentials and a photo ID are required. Please review the credentialing info below for requirements.

Press Credentials

To qualify for press credentials at JSM 2008, you must:

  • Be affiliated with a nationally, regionally, or locally recognized and industry-relevant media outlet,
  • Hold an editorial title, or
  • Hold a position as an industry analyst

Pre-registered media may pick up credentials at Special Assistance Desk in the main registration area. A photo ID is required.

Please note: Magazine advertising staff, publishers, publication scouts, print salespersons, and non-career communicators are not considered members of the working media and will not receive complimentary access to JSM.

Journalism professors and students

Advance press registration is now open. Advance press registration is now open. Pre-registered press automatically will receive news updates in the months prior to the JSM. Advance press registration will be open through Saturday, August 2, 2008. Press may register onsite from Sunday, August 3, to Thursday, August 7, at the Special Assistance Desk. We strongly encourage all potential newsroom participants to register in advance; your press badge can then be picked up simply by presenting your valid photo identification at the Special Assistance Desk. Please Note: ASA Members, marketing and public relations professionals and other general registrants must register through the normal JSM online registration.
