Abstract #310679
Title: ggvis: Moving Toward a Grammar of Interactive Graphics
Author(s): Hadley Wickham*+
Companies: RStudio
Keywords: R ; grammar of graphics ; visualisation ; linked brushing

ggvis makes it easy to declaratively describe interactive web graphics. It combines a declarative syntax based on ggplot2 (http://ggplot2.org/) with shiny's (http://www.rstudio.com/shiny/) reactive programming model and vega's (http://trifacta.github.io/vega/) declarative JS rendering system. In this talk, I'll introduce ggvis, and show how a reactive programming model makes it possible to declaratively describe simple interactions.

Authors who are presenting talks have a * after their name.
