JASA Calls for Theory and Methods Co-Editors Applications and Nominations


The American Statistical Association invites nominations and applications for the position of Co-Editors of the Journal of the American Statistical Association, Theory and Methods.

Established in 1888 and published quarterly in March, June, September, and December, the Journal of the American Statistical Association (JASA) has long been considered the premier journal of statistical science. Articles focus on statistical applications, theory, and methods development in any area of science. All submissions are rigorously refereed using a double-blind peer review process.

The new Co-Editors will serve from 2015 through 2017, with a full year of transition beginning January 2014.

JASA editors must be active ASA members during their terms.

Nominations

Nominations should be sent to journals@amstat.org. Once received, nominations will be presented to the Chair of the JASA Theory and Methods Co-Editor search committee for further consideration.

The deadline for nominations is December 14, 2012.

Applications

Interested persons are encouraged to apply for the position of Co-Editor. Applicants should send a CV; the names of 3 references; and a letter of interest in the position including a brief statement of the candidate's vision for the publication, directions the candidate would pursue, and contributions she or he would make if selected as editor.
