Call for Nominations: Reviews Editor, Journal of the American Statistical Association/The American Statistician
The American Statistical Association invites nominations and applications for the position of Reviews Editor of the Journal of the American Statistical Association and The American Statistician.
The Reviews section in JASA publishes review-type articles and reviews of recently published books relevant to the JASA audience. The Reviews section in TAS publishes reviews of materials related to the teaching of statistics. This includes textbooks; special volumes and proceedings concerning statistical education; software, videotapes, organized sources of data, and Internet resources intended for statistical education; and other similar items.

The new editor will serve from 2014 through 2016, with the transition beginning July 2013.
Nominations
If you know someone who would be right for the editorship of the Reviews sections, please send that person's name, email address, and a brief description of his or her qualifications to journals@amstat.org. The search committee will contact your nominee to see if she or he is interested in applying.
Nominations should be made no later than December 14, 2012.
Applications
Applications for JASA/TAS Reviews Editor should be sent electronically to journals@amstat.org, and should include a CV; the names of 3 references; and a letter of interest in the position including a brief statement of the candidate's vision for the section, directions the candidate would pursue, and contributions she or he would make if selected as editor.
The deadline for applications is February 15, 2013.
Please note: JASA editors must be active members of the ASA during their terms.
