JSM Press Registration

As a registered member of the press at JSM, you will have access to keynote addresses, conference sessions, roundtables, workshops, late-breaking sessions and the exhibit hall.

Please note that press registration is available only for those individuals whose primary occupation is reporting for media outlets. We welcome all reporters, especially those who cover the areas of statistics, science and math. Media credentials and a photo ID are required. Please review the credentialing info below for requirements.

Press Credentials

To qualify for JSM press credentials, you must meet one of the following criteria for a member of the media:

  • Be affiliated with a nationally, regionally or locally recognized or industry-relevant media outlet or publication
  • Hold an editorial title, such as reporter, editor and the like
  • Be a freelance writer/reporter on assignment with a recognized media outlet or publication
  • Hold a position as an industry analyst

Pre-registered media can pick up their JSM press credentials at the JSM Help Desk in the main registration area. A media credential and a photo ID must be presented to pick up your JSM press credentials.

Preregistered press automatically will receive news updates prior to JSM. Advance press registration will be open until the conference begins. Press also may register onsite at the JSM Help Desk in the main registration area; again a media credential and a photo ID must be presented to register onsite as a media representative. We strongly encourage all news reporters to register in advance. Click the following link to register as a JSM press attendee:

Please note: Magazine advertising staff, publishers, publication scouts, print salespersons and non-career communicators will not be considered members of the working media and therefore will not qualify for media registration to JSM. Also, ASA members, marketing and public relations professionals and other general registrants must register through the normal JSM online registration system.
