The SBSS, like many other ASA sections, publishes Proceedings each year. These proceedings contain papers presented in any meeting session sponsored or co-sponsored by the SBSS this year. Most of the papers are those presented at the Joint Statistical Meetings, but papers presented at other meetings are eligible if the meeting was sponsored or co-sponsored by SBSS.
Each year, the ASA publishes the proceedings online and produces a single, searchable CD-ROM that includes the proceedings of all ASA sections. This is different from past years, when a paper volume was published. But other things are the same. The individual proceedings papers are still not copyrighted, so papers can be republished in other journals. Deadline for submission each year is typically mid-September. This deadline is the same for papers presented at the JSM and papers presented at other SBSS-sponsored meetings. If you present at JSM, the ASA will mail you details of the submission, including the deadline and instructions for you to format your paper.
The Proceedings of the Section on Bayesian Statistics are widely distributed. In addition to that, they are affordable and contain the latest contributions to Bayesian Statistics. If you would like to make your paper available to a wider audience that can’t reach the meetings, please consider submitting your paper to the SBSS Proceedings.
