The analysis is based largely on the players' stats.

What are the first steps in entering the sports industry as a statistician?

I wrote a book and sent it free to all coaches and general managers in the sport of greatest interest to me and asked for their feedback. One coach called me and asked me to begin evaluating players using my methods. A more practical way to begin is to approach local high schools and colleges about work. Such jobs may be not come with a salary but can provide valuable training.
