SPES is the primary sponsor of several invited sessions at the annual Joint Statistical Meetings. One of the sessions is organized by the Chemometrics Committee. SPES will also likely co-sponsor other invited sessions sponsored by other ASA sections. In addition, SPES sponsors a mixer where awards for outstanding presentations from the previous JSM are announced, and dozens of valuable door prizes are given out!
