  • The 2001 Waksberg Award winner is Ivan P. Fellegi, Chief Statistician Emiretus, Statistics Canada. Dr. Fellegi will give the 2010 Waksberg Invited Address at the Statistics Canada Symposium to be held in the autumn of 2010.

  • We are pleased to announce that the online edition of the Proceedings of the Survey Research Methods Section of the American Statistical Association (1978-2008) is now available.

  • Newly revised "What's a survey?" pamphlet is now available online.

  • The SRMS Board endorses "Interviewer Falsification in Survey Research: Current Best Methods for Prevention, Detection and Repair of its Effects" as a statement of good professional practices on the handling of potential interviewer falsification of survey data, and value it as a foundation for stimulating further work and discussion in this important area. This guideline was created by 35 survey statisticians and scientists at "Ann Arbor Summit on 7Interviewer Falsification, April 4-6, 2003," sponsored by Department of Health and Human Services' Office of Research Integrity and University of Michigan Survey Research Center.

  • A group of faculty involved in the various grad programs in survey statistics and methodology at American Association for Public Opinion Research (AAPOR) assembled a list of "Universities and Colleges with Degree Programs in Survey Methodology."
