News: ASA Currently Seeking Nominations for the 2013 Waller Education Award; Nominations are welcome for the 2012 Waller Education Award. In 2009 the Waller Education Award became an ASA level award, having been "promoted" from its original status as a Stat Ed Section Award. This award, presented at JSM, carries a $1000 prize and recognition as an important contributor to teaching elementary statistics. Please consider your colleagues for this award. Outstanding work in this area deserves recognition. The Waller Education Award was established by a contribution from retired ASA Executive Director Ray Waller and his wife Carolyn to honor individuals for innovation in the instruction of elementary statistics.
