Responsibilities of the COS Representative

Attend any Council of Sections meetings at the Joint Statistical Meetings in August of each year. Typically there is a general meeting on Sunday and a feedback meeting on Thursday.
Attend the Section Executive Committee meeting at the Joint Statistical Meetings, and give a report on the Council of Sections general meeting. Typically the Council of Sections will ask for Section feedback on various issues and initiatives.
Attend the Statistics Education Business Meeting at the Joint Statistical Meetings, and report as appropriate on issues involving the Council of Sections.
Participate as a voting member of the Stat Ed Executive Committee.
Act throughout the year as a liaison to the member of the Council of Sections Governing Board who represents Stat Ed. The Governing Board meets throughout the year and puts out a call for Section concerns before each meeting.
