Instructions for Completing the 2016 Fellow Nomination Form


The nomination form must be completed and submitted no later than 3:00 AM EST on Tuesday, March 1, 2016. The system will not allow you to begin a new nomination or submit a saved one after this time, regardless of circumstance.


In order to be eligible for nomination, a person must be a current member of ASA, with continuous membership for three years, from March 1, 2013 to February 29, 2016. Members who are already Fellows are not eligible.

A well-prepared nomination package is essential. Your presentation and the supporting materials and letters must convince the ASA Committee on Fellows that your nominee is among the most deserving of those nominated.

How to Complete the Fellows Online Nomination Process
  • The online nomination process allows you to begin a nomination, save it, and return later to complete and submit it.
  • All information is to be typed into the form and submitted electronically; do not attempt to print and mail the form to ASA.
  • The CV and letters of support are submitted as PDF attachments where requested in the nomination process.
  • Begin the process by clicking the "Begin the Nomination Process" button.
  • All demographic information is voluntary and will not affect the nominee's outcome.
  • The rules concerning letters of support have been changed effective 11/1/2009. While there is no minimum, a maxmimum of four letters is permitted. An individual is limited to providing support letters to a maximum of two candidates per year.
