Education Council
Charge:

The Education Council provides guidance to the Board regarding statistics education issues, and provides structure and processes through which initiatives, policies, and directions in statistics education can be identified and realized. The Council provides a means for coordination among these committees and a connection between each committee and the Board through the Council chair.
Composition: The membership of the Education Council consists of one of the Vice Presidents of the ASA, who serves as the Chair, a Vice Chair appointed/reappointed (when necessary) by the President Elect for a three year term and the Chairs of the following ASA Committees and Sections; the ASA/MAA Joint Comm on Undergraduate Statistics; the ASA/NCTM Joint Comm on Curriculum in Stats and Probability; Committee on Outreach Education; Committee on Statistics in Two-Year Colleges; the Section on Statistical Education and the Section on the Teaching of Statistics in the Health Sciences.
