The Council of Sections Governing Board along with the Council of Sections would like to announce the approval of two new Sections:

The Section on Statistical Learning and Data Mining

&

The Section for Statistical Programmers and Analysts

The formation of these two new Sections now brings the total count of ASA Section to 24. These Section are open to all ASA members by registering through either the online or paper applications.

Also approved is the Special Interest Group

"Statistics in Business Schools"
