A Sixtieth Birthday for Technometrics

Technometrics will celebrate its 60th birthday this year with a special virtual issue. Access to this anniversary issue—which features 35 classic articles chosen for their influence during the six decades Technometrics has been in publication—is free.

The journal, started in February 1959 with J. Stuart Hunter as editor, is the premier journal for statistical research related to the physical and engineering sciences. The papers included in this special issue reflect the foundations of statistical methods used by statisticians in the physical, chemical, engineering, and information sciences. Some of the featured articles include the following:

• Some New Three Level Designs for the Study of Quantitative Variables by George Box and D.W. Behnken (1960)
