ASA Recognizes 2026 Founders and Fellows
The American Statistical Association is honoring three individuals with the Founders Award this year for exceptional dedication to advancing the association's mission. The ASA is also designating 46 members as Fellows for their professional contributions, leadership, and commitment to statistical science.
Founders have served the ASA for an extended period, typically in multiple leadership roles demonstrating effective service or leadership within the association or through ASA outreach. Their contributions have had significant impact on the ASA beyond their tenure.
The Fellow designation has been a significant honor for nearly 100 years. Under ASA bylaws, the Committee on Fellows may elect up to one-third of one percent of the total association membership as Fellows each year.
The Founders Award and Fellow designation rank among the ASA’s highest honors.
